Welcome to Lycée des Métiers de l’Hôtellerie Jean Drouant

Located not far from the Étoile, in the Parc Monceau area (17th district of Paris), Jean Drouant Hospitality School of Paris benefits from a privileged environment and from historical premises.

It is the place where, in 1884, sculptor Bartholdi entirely assembled The Statue of Liberty which was overlooking the neighbouring buildings from its forty-eight-meter-high elegance. Known and recognized by all the professionals, the Hospitality School of Paris is “Médéric School” by its former students and relates to the name of the street where the school is located.

EFFICIENT TRAINING COURSES

Jean Drouant High School has successfully trained students for over 80 years to hold a steady position in the industry of hospitality and catering.

Whether our students follow a training to hold operational positions or staff management positions, our ambition is to assist our high school and higher education students in a vocational career path that opens to a strong-employment potential.

Our practical and theoretical trainings are all completed by immersion internships in partner corporations in order to put our students into direct practical application of their knowledge.

Internships

For the whole range of diplomas that we grant in the vocational and technological fields, from the vocational baccalaureate (A-levels) to the professional bachelor’s degree, the student internships we impose in different corporations represent an essential part of our students’ training curriculum. These internships enable our students to put into practice the theoretical notions they have seen in class and to put them through the trial of the field. The internships also prepare the future high school and higher education students to their future integration as professionals.

The restaurants

The school restaurants represent the places where all the students’ daily practical cooking productions are being served. The service is also exclusively carried out by our high school and higher education students. It represents essential moments of their training period.

We are pleased to welcome you from Monday to Thursday for lunch and on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for dinner at Julien François restaurant and at Atelier Batholdi brasserie.
